Long Enough At This Mountain

Your Daily AdmonitionAdmonition

Deuteronomy 1:6

The LORD our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying: ‘You have dwelt long enough at this mountain.

And now, Admonition, brought to you by the Collierville Church of Christ.

In Deuteronomy chapter one verse six, we read, The Lord our God spoke to us in Horeb saying, you have dwelt long enough at this mountain. God’s message to Israel is, you’ve come here, you’ve received the law, you’ve seen my presence, you’ve heard my voice, but you’ve been at Sinai long enough. It’s time to move on.

Sometimes we find ourselves in similar situations. It may be a week out at Bible camp. It may be a week at a lectureship. It may be a weak at something like polishing the pulpit where you come and you just feel like, I just want to stay here. I just want to live here. I want it to be like this every day!

But it’s not supposed to be. Some days you have to leave and go out and do the work. God has set for you to do.
